Q: Will a certificate be given to signify completion of the training?
A: Yes, a Certificate of Attendance/Participation will be given to those who will attend the trainings. Please keep in mind that attendance will be checked during both AM and PM sessions.
Q: Is the Training on the Fundamentals of EIA Practice a prerequisite for the Orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Integration into the Philippine EIS System?
A: No, but it is recommended by EMB for better understanding of the technical aspects of EIA to improve EIA Practice in the country.
Q: Will attending the Orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Integration into the Philippine EIS System count as an accreditation to practice EIA preparation?
A: The Orientation on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA)
Integration into the Philippine EIS System is being conducted in compliance with EMB MC
2011-005 in order to be included in the Registry of EIA Practitioners. After attending the training, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance/Participation which is required for you to be included in the Registry of EIA Practitioners established under EMB MC 2013-003. There is currently no accreditation system for EIA Preparers but under EMB MC 2011-005, for ECC applications requiring EIS, at least 60% of the EIA Study Team should have attended the Training/Orientation.
Q: What is the coverage of the registration fee?
A: The payment for the registration is inclusive of the training fee, training materials, and food only. If you wish to reserve accommodations, please book directly with Hive Hotel and Convention Place. You may, however, inform us via email of your booking so that we may coordinate with the hotel for a discounted rate.
